Shines defensively in loss
Cisse closed with eight points (4-7 FG), 13 rebounds, three steals and two blocks across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 123-99 loss to Milwaukee.
The Scoop: Suiting up for the Mavericks for the first time since March 6, Cisse entered the rotation while Dallas was without Marvin Bagley (shoulder) and turned in a useful line while serving as the top backup to starting center Daniel Gafford. The undrafted rookie out of Memphis has proven to be a useful streaming option for field-goal percentage, rebounds and blocks over his three appearances for Dallas in March, averaging 10.7 boards and 1.7 rejections while shooting 53.8 percent from the field in those games. However, due to his status as a two-way player, his availability at the NBA level has been limited, and that will remain the case for the rest of the season. Unless Dallas converts him to a standard deal, Cisse will be eligible to play in just three of the Mavericks' remaining six games.
