With Joel Embiid (knee) making his preseason debut, Bona will slide to the bench. The second-year big man is expected to compete for the backup center role behind Embiid this season after averaging 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks across 15.6 minutes per contest in 58 regular-season games (11 starts) in 2024-25.
